Lunson Mitchenall successfully advise on the off-market acquisition of a retail warehouse in Yeovil

September 6, 2018

Lunson Mitchenall acquired the B&M on Lysander Road, Yeovil for £4.715m on behalf of a private client.

The property is a freehold single let retail warehouse, consisting of approximately 23,000 sq ft and is let to B&M for a further 11.5 years. The property sits within a retail warehousing cluster on Lysander Road, one of Yeovil’s main arterial roads.

Yeovil is a historic south west town which has an exclusive catchment area and low levels or retail warehousing vacancy.

Archie Stead of Lunson Mitchenall commented “The property provides excellent income security with over 10 years term certain to a 5A 1 covenant, which is continuing to grow and perform strongly despite wider weaknesses in the retail market. B&M’s strategy of providing great value on items that consumers buy regularly for their family and home is highly relevant in a challenging economic environment, which is seeing a squeeze on disposal income.”
