Vegucated in London – our favourite vegan experiences in town

September 11, 2018

With Veganism being the new trend, here are our top five choices of the best Vegan restaurants around London.

Central – Mildred’s, 45 Lexington St, Carnaby, London W1F 9AN

If you are in Central London and are in need of an ethically sourced food-fix, where better than arguably London’s most famous vegetarian and vegan restaurant. Mildred’s serves vibrant internationally inspired food at a reasonable price with stylish, yet simple interiors, and serves a fantastic array of dishes. Our personal favourite was the hot Sri Lankan curry – although potentially not the most advisable choice in summer!

North – Indian Veg, 92-93 Chapel Street Market, Islington, N1 9EX

A vegan curry house – what’s not to love? This Indian-inspired vegan food is ridiculously cheap and yet remains ludicrously tasty. For only £5 you can eat as much as you like in this canteen style restaurant and wash down your food with one of their organic colas.

South – Wildflower, Peckham Levels, Level 5, 95a Rye Ln, London SE15 4ST

Wildflower describes itself as a ‘vegetarian and vegan canteen’ – however the décor takes it beyond usual expectations of what we recognise as a ‘canteen’. The food is top notch, there is an interesting menu and a welcoming atmosphere to boot – Wildflower is definitely one to try if you are in the area.

East – Just Fab – Food Bus, 455 Hackney Road, East London, E2 9DY

East London has become a hotbed of vegan restaurants in recent times, so it was naturally (eh) very difficult to select just one. On this occasion we have gone for the Italian inspired food at Just Fab. The food, which is reasonably priced, is served in a classic London red bus. This quirky venue is a must try for anyone in the area!

West – Farmacy, 74 Westbourne Grove, London W2 5SH

This incredibly stylish and fashionable restaurant often divides opinions, but for us remains a must-visit if you are in West London. Although potentially less authentic than some others named in this list, the overall dining experience at Farmacy is still to be experienced. If you are especially daring – you must try one of their novelty syringe life-enhancing potions!
