Brickwork takes Revo 2019

October 23, 2019

Last month, the great and the good of the retail property industry gathered in Liverpool for the annual Revo conference. This year’s conference goers didn’t just get to experience the usual conference activities though, they were also lucky enough to enjoy a charity gig from Brickwork – the five piece retail property rock band made up of James Cogavin (Lunson Mitchenall), Mark Bourgeois (Hammerson), Peter Kirk (CBRE), Ben Whittle (Dreams) and Martin Ridgway (Evening Standard).

The sell-out gig raised a total of £5,000 for the Elifar Foundation, and Paul Cawood, Elifar Chairman and Trustee, was presented with a cheque on the night by Neil Hockin, Director at Lunson Mitchenall, who co-sponsored the event with Hammerson and Shoppertainment.

Brickwork has hosted intimate gigs at a range of venues including the Water Rats in Kings Cross and The Grosvenor Hotel, supporting a range of charities including Shelter From The Storm, LandAid and The Elifar Foundation. LandAid will headline another sold out property event organised by Completely Retail called Proptoberfest, which is being hosted at Hawker House in Rotherhithe on Thursday 3rd October.

Elifar stands for ‘Every Life is for a reason’ and the foundation is a small charity which helps to improve the lives of children and young adults with severe learning difficulty and associated physical disability. The team provide grants for a variety of items including electronic wheelchairs, specialised seating, eating aids, special beds and trikes, hoists, communication devices, sensory equipment and specialist holidays.

The Elifar Foundation relies entirely on independent donations and fundraising and enjoys the support of many individuals and companies, particularly within the UK retail property industry.

Paul Cawood Elifar Chairman and Trustee commented: “The Elifar Foundation received fantastic support from Hammerson, Lunson Mitchenall, Shoppertainment, Revo and, of course, Brickwork, who also gave us one of the most enjoyable conference nights ever, with a two and a half hour set of rock and roll hits.”
