Acting on behalf of Metro Shopping Fund, the Delancey and Land Securities retail joint venture, Lunson Mitchenall has secured Frankie & Benny’s for Southside as the South West centre gains even greater prominence as an all-day retail and dining hotspot.
Southside is a prime example of the continued growth of dining as part of a modern shopping centre experience, having significantly increased its weighting of dining tenants in recent years.
Frankie & Benny’s has signed a twenty-five year lease on a 3,714 sq ft unit which opened on the upper concourse of the centre in September, alongside Wandsworth’s 14-screen Cineworld cinema, and restaurants including Ed’s Easy Diner and Prezzo.
The announcement brings Southside’s overall internal occupancy to almost 100 per cent let, with continued interest in the units being created as part of the phased investment underway on the exterior Garratt Lane stretch of the scheme.
