We are seeing more and more new leisure concepts popping up, adding a twist to traditional games whether that be through the introduction of technology or incorporating food and drinks!
Puttshack is one operator, which has taken the traditional game of mini golf and merged it with ground-breaking patented technology to catapult the game into a cutting edge gaming sensation. The technology facilitates automatic point scoring, leader-boards, and intuitive gameplay, creating a completely new mini golf concept.
Lunson Mitchenall has recently secured the UK’s second Puttshack for intu Lakeside’s planned 250,000 sq ft leisure extension. It will take a fantastic first floor space with an external bar overlooking newly refurbished The Quay. This follows the opening of its first UK store in Westfield London in June 2018.
This new leisure hub is set to open in late 2018 and will boost some of the largest leisure brands, anchored by the UK’s first 56,000 sq ft Nickelodeon family entertainment centre. This will sit alongside a stellar line up of names including UK flagship Hollywood Bowl, Flipout, Zizzi and TGI Friday’s.
Ruvan Sangra from Lunson Mitchenall’s specialist Catering & Leisure division commented: “We are delighted to be working with such an exciting new brand and concept, and delivering a fantastic operator to The Quay.
“Customers are constantly searching for the latest leisure concepts, and we are creating a destination and external public environment that raises the bar and promotes intu Lakeside as the premier retail and leisure destination in the South East. We are confident that all four new leisure additions will create a great new experience at Lakeside, whilst also helping to build on the already established all-day experience intu Lakeside has to offer.”
