The Lion Yard roars into action

December 16, 2015

As part of its work for Aberdeen Asset Management, Lunson Mitchenall has secured a series of new lettings for The Lion Yard. The owners of the shopping centre, based in the heart of Cambridge, have revealed that two new tenants, including stationary brand Smiggle and juice bar Boost, will join the line-up of national and independent brands at the scheme.

Popular Australian stationary brand Smiggle is taking a 10 year lease for a 1,800 sq ft space and will be located next to Holland and Barrett and Lush. The fashion-forward brand which sells everything from pencil cases to diaries and calendars has acquired 15 stores in the UK since the start of the year. Joining them is juice bar, Boost which is taking a 300 sq ft space.

These two lettings follow on from another recent deal with Hotel Chocolat which recently upsized into a larger unit in the centre. The upmarket chocolatier, which now has over 80 stores in the UK and three in Denmark, has taken 1,600 sq ft on a 10 year lease and sits alongside Tiger and Ernest Jones.
