Lunson Mitchenall’s lease advisory team has been appointed by British Land on The Woolwich Arsenal Estate, to provide tailored advice on the retail space comprising 56 shops.
This rare mixed-use, five-acre London high street estate is located close to the Thames, supported by an excellent transport system including the hotly-awaited Crossrail station (7 minutes to Canary Wharf; 21 minutes to Bond Street). With a variety of residential developments underway in the area, some 6,000 new homes are in the pipeline as part of a large-scale urban regeneration.
The Lease Advisory team has a proven track record, providing strategic and practical solutions to rent reviews, lease renewals and lease restructuring. The team currently advise on over 40 shopping centres across the UK, acting on behalf of clients including Intu, British Land, Landsec, LaSalle IM and Aberdeen Standard.
Andrew Ainscough, Head of Lease Advisory, commented: “We are really excited to be a part of such an aspirational scheme, to create an epicentre for retail, residential and leisure in Woolwich. We are confident that our strong track record will help British Land to deliver the full potential for an area that is rich in history and culture.”
