Redefining the British concept of Food Halls – Market Halls opens in Fulham

July 30, 2018

Market Halls have opened a new venue in Fulham, in an impressive Grade II listed Edwardian former ticket hall of Fulham Broadway Station that has been empty for last 6 years.

The restaurants line the room, whilst simple communal wooden tables run the length of the hall. There is an impressive glass roof which floods the hall with natural light and original features have been retained, like the enamel ‘To The Trains’ sign and the ticket office booth which now houses the bar.

When we arrived for a team night out, we were instantly hit by the lively buzz and energetic atmosphere. We were spoilt for choice – from 10 restaurants, it made a difficult to choose a favourite dish, but the Seabass from Thima by Farang, a sister brand of Farang has had to be the winner!

This is the third venue of the Market Halls with other two at Victoria, which will be opening towards the end of summer with 14 Kitchens and three bars, and another one in the West End on Holes Street which is set to open this winter as the largest food hall in the UK. Both of the sites will be housed in abandoned iconic landmarks – something to watch out for.
