Festival Place has reported a strong end to 2016 with its casual dining operators thriving at the centre.
Lunson Mitchenall has acted on behalf of the centre in Basingstoke to finesse a strong line up of food and beverage operators. A string of brands have upsized and rebranded to help make the casual dining offer better than ever.
Popular world food restaurant, Giraffe, has rebranded its 5,000 sq ft unit to the first Giraffe World Kitchen in its portfolio. This move represents a key step forward in the brand’s strategy as it looks to replicate the model elsewhere.
Alongside this, the Casual Dining Group has re-branded its restaurant La Tasca, famous for authentic Spanish tapas, to a new format Las Iguanas. The new bar and restaurant boasts an extensive cocktail list alongside sizzling South American dishes and is already trading well
Burger favourite, GBK has upsized its unit to c. 2,500 sq ft and will now operate from two combined units to keep up with growing demand at the centre.
Ruvan Sangra, Lunson Mitchenall, said: “The catering offer at Festival Place is now stronger than ever before. The recent string of upsizes and re-branding is testament to the confidence brands have placed in the centre. Coupled with leisure anchor, Vue, we are seeing solid footfall figures as visitors come not just to shop but also to relax and socialise.”
